In 2020 the choices for how to do so both expanded and retracted. From third-party food delivery, pre-made meal kits, and subscription boxes to restaurant closures, outdoor dining, and at-home cooking, dinner looked different for many families last year.
Through it all, the grocery store has remained constant – and by constant, I mean it has existed and stayed open…for the most part. We all know how difficult it became to get our goods when panic, precautions, and paranoia were at their highest. Some of us even encountered shocking situations where 24-hour stores were no longer open 24 hours (!), and had to rightfully adjust our habits to accommodate our elderly, at risk, and essential community members as well.
And let’s not forget those pesky one-way aisle stickers either……
