The LEGO Group is a privately held company based in Billund, Denmark. The company is still owned by the Kirk Kristiansen family who founded it in 1932. Today, LEGO is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of play materials.
The brand has evolved beyond the basic LEGO brick into themed play sets and even movies. One of the things that separates LEGO from other toy products is their expert category management at retail. From dedicated inline displays to dioramas, LEGO’s marketing strategy in-store is why they are the world’s most valuable toy brand.
LEGO was recently spotted in Target with yet another top notch branding effort with this larger than life display. As reported on Fixtures Close Up……….What a fun way to dominate the toy department. This Giant LEGO sliding board branding not only draws attention of young and old from a distance, but shouts “LEGO” without even mentioning the name……..or at least it does to anyone who recognizes LEGO people.
